POSITIONs [2021]

Physical contemplation of perpetual positioning after the first year of the pandemic

Positions was a 4 hour-long physical contemplation of the perpetual positioning after the first year of the Covid 19 pandemic.

The performance was an attempt to deal with the feeling of being overwhelmed by the sheer flood of unproven information, and the constant necessity to react on it. How to trace the own thought process and positioning record in a spiraling discourse which questioned the foundations of shared reality? Leaning into this question on a physical level, Positions also became a confrontation with the way isolation, caution, and Covid itself had altered our physical repertoire of expressions. As such, Positions revealed the effects of the social crisis on the individual body and the aesthetic consequences of the activated power structures.
